Why do we need a Fire Risk Assessment?
The Law says, that’s why! The Fire Safety Order 2005 states that it is the responsibility of the “responsible person” within an organisation, to carry out a fire risk assessment (or to hire a competent professional to carry the assessment out for you) A fire risk assessment is designed to identify, manage and reduce the risk of fire.

How often do I need to carry out a fire risk assessment?
A fire risk assessment must be in place, and reviewed any time there is a significant change. This change is an open question, and can be confusing. We recommend carrying out a risk assessment either annually, any time a building is significantly altered, or when there is a change in management of a premises.

Who is responsible for ensuring my premises (domestic or commercial) is safe and abiding by the law?
The “responsible person” is legally responsible for the safety of the premises. This could be an employer, the owner, landlord or an occupier of any premises (e.g. a restauranteur) It can also be a facilities manger, building manager, managing agent or the risk assessor themselves. The Fire Safety Order also applies to landlords running a bed and breakfast, guesthouse or self-catering property. Communal areas of apartment blocks, HMOs and maisonettes are also subject to the RRFSO (2005) so landlords have the responsibility of carrying a risk assessment.
How soon will you complete the risk assessment or other work?
Once we have agreed a start date, we aim to complete all work within a week. (Larger jobs such as fire alarm installation will take longer as more planning is involved.)
Are you insured and what policy are you covered by?
Of course! We hold Professional Indemnity Insurance which protects us and you, and Public Liability Insurance as well. Our Insurance certificates are available on request
How does your payment process work and when do I pay?
We won't charge you for anything upfront. Once we have completed any required works, you will receive the necessary documents (assessments, certificates etc) and we will send an invoice via email at the end of the job. You can pay online, via internet banking.
